1. HALO 5 Water System for Whole-House Filtration & Conditioning

Our most complete whole-house water filtration system: five filtration and conditioning stages in one unit, tackling everything from chlorine taste and odor to sediment and hard water scale — with nothing to remember, nothing to change, and nothing to maintain.

How It Works

  1. Stage 1 — Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) removes chlorine, heavy metals, pesticides, and odors as water first enters the tank.
  2. Stage 2 — Centaur® High Activity Carbon (HAC) further reduces free chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for cleaner-tasting water.
  3. Stage 3 — Filter-AG Plus® filters out suspended sediment down to about 5 microns.
  4. Stage 4 — a high-density garnet layer catches remaining particulate in the 10–20 micron range.
  5. Stage 5 — the HALO ION inline conditioner uses a magnetic field to keep dissolved calcium and magnesium suspended in the water instead of crystallizing into scale on pipes, fixtures, and your water heater.

2. HALO Ultimate (H2 Zero Ultimate)

A simpler, more compact alternative to the HALO 5: one tank combining high-activity carbon with the same HALO ION magnetic conditioner, for homes that mainly want chlorine taste/odor reduction and scale protection without the extra sediment-focused stages.

How It Works

  1. Water passes through a bed of High Activity Carbon (HAC), which reduces free chlorine and improves taste and odor.
  2. The same water then passes the built-in HALO ION conditioner, which uses a magnetic field to keep hard-water minerals suspended instead of forming scale — and can gradually dissolve scale that’s already built up in your pipes.
  3. The whole system runs with zero electricity, zero backwash cycle, and zero wastewater — there’s no drain line to run during installation.

Best For

Homes on treated city water where sediment isn’t a concern — mainly chlorine taste/odor and hard water scale — and where a smaller footprint or simpler system is preferred over the full 5-stage HALO 5.

3. HALO ION-6 Inline Conditioner

The simplest, most affordable way to add scale protection: a compact inline magnetic conditioner with no filtration media at all. HALO’s own sizing guidance positions the ION-6 for a single water heater or a recirculating hot water loop rather than whole-house peak flow — making it a natural, low-cost add-on alongside a water heater installation rather than a whole-house solution on its own.

How It Works

  1. The ION-6 installs inline on the water line feeding a water heater or recirculating loop.
  2. A permanent magnet assembly with multi-reversing polarity alters the way dissolved calcium and magnesium behave in the water, keeping them suspended instead of crystallizing into scale on heating elements and heat exchangers — and can help dissolve scale that’s already there.
  3. There’s no filtration media, no cartridges, no electricity, and no drain line — it’s a one-time install with nothing to maintain afterward.

Best For

Protecting a single water heater or tankless unit from scale at the lowest cost in our lineup — a practical add-on during a new installation or water heater service. It’s a direct alternative to the Atlas Filtri tankless scale unit, using magnetic conditioning instead of a replaceable cartridge. Not a substitute for whole-house filtration if chlorine taste/odor or sediment are also concerns.
